Ignitia's Background

Ignitia is a versatile online Christian curriculum and learning management system with dynamic, Christ-centered lessons and interactive features designed to serve teachers and students in elementary, middle, and high school.

In 2008 Ignitia was launched by Alpha Omega Publication which was founded in 1977. For over 40 years, Alpha Omega Publication devotes itself to developing courses based on the Christian faith.

The system is called Monarch for the home schooling mode and Ignitia for the school mode.

Ignitia's 3 learning modes

Depending on the stage and needs, students can choose to study on their own, or study with a teaching assistant, or study with a teacher. Because Ignitia has video recordings of each lesson, students can choose to study completely on their own; the teaching assistant is responsible for monitoring assignments and progress and maintaining weekly communication with parents; and the teacher is responsible for explaining and answering questions.

If a student chooses a fully independent learning model, then parents will likely need to personally supervise their child's learning, and a parent's manual is available for download here. Our school is happy to help parents with any problems they may encounter in the process of using the program.

Introduction to Ignitia Student Interface

After logging in to their study account, students will see their Dashboard, which lists their progress in each of their assignments. Click on the "Learn" button and you will see the most commonly used "Courses" and "Assignments". When you click on "Courses", you will see the start and due dates of each course, daily assignments, pending assignments, etc. Click on a course to see the units in that course. Click "Send Message" next to the teacher's name to communicate with the teacher about academic issues. Click on "Add Note" to write down the important parts of the lesson, and then click on "Save" to save them. If you need more references while working on the assignment, you can click on the "Reference" button. If you do not understand the assignment, you can highlight the area you do not understand, and then click on "Translate" to read the Chinese translation of the English expression. The "Help" button allows you to get support and help from Ignitia engineers, and our school will also provide answers. The "Resources" button provides not only learning resources, but also instructions on how to use Ignitia and tips on how to succeed in online learning. Answers to many questions can be found in the "FAQ" section. The "What's New" section introduces new features that have been developed. Click the video above for more.
